Perfect Fried Rice: An easy and delicious recipe for this popular Asian dish!

Egg fried rice is an Asian staple. It is prepared quickly and easily, taking into account all the nuances. The main thing is the proper preparation of the rice itself. If everything is done correctly, the result will not disappoint you!

Fried rice can be made with just about anything, but most often the rice is fried with eggs.

Choosing the right grains is of the utmost importance – don’t try to use round grains or rice for risotto. The dish is best served with long-grain rice, as that is what is used in southern China and Southeast Asia. These varieties are less sticky and looser.

We offer you to cook the perfect shrimp fried rice – they will give the dish an exotic umami taste and provide you with a portion of healthy protein.

Rice for frying should be boiled in a ratio of 1: 1.25 to water and cool well. You can prepare it in advance and store it in the refrigerator. Cook the covered rice over low heat.

Tip: To make the rice shiny and evenly fried, shortly before frying, pre-soak it in beaten eggs with mineral water and a drop of soy sauce.

Marinate 12 large shelled prawns for 10 minutes in a mixture of one tablespoon of rice wine (or rice vinegar), 1/2 teaspoon of finely grated ginger, a pinch of white pepper.

Fry the prawns for 3-4 minutes over high heat and set aside. In the same skillet, add 1/2 bunch of finely chopped green onions first, then your egg soaked rice and sauté, stirring constantly with a spatula from bottom to top. Season with soy sauce.

Add the prawns and the other half of the chopped onion. Remove it from the fire. Stir. Ready!
