Italian Straw Cake
Time: 1h30 (+4h fridge)
Performance: 10 portions
Difficulty: easy
Ingredients:
- 3 cans of condensed milk
- 350 g of chopped dark chocolate
- 2 tablespoons of chocolate powder
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 2 boxes of cream (400g)
- 2 packs of cornstarch biscuits (400 g)
- Crushed cornstarch cookies for dusting
Syrup
- 2 cups of milk (tea)
- 1 teaspoon(s) of vanilla essence
Method of preparation:
- In a pan mix the condensed milk, the semi-sweet chocolate, the butter and the chocolate powder.
- Bring to low heat, stirring until it boils, melts the chocolate and then pulls away from the bottom of the saucepan.
- Mix the cream and let it cool
- Reserve 1 cup (tea) of the brigadeiro
- Mix the syrup ingredients in a bowl and set aside
- Meanwhile, in a 24 cm diameter springform pan, make a layer of biscuit moistened with the syrup set aside.
- Make a thin layer of brigadeiro
- Repeat the layers until you run out of ingredients, ending with the brigadeiro
- Refrigerate for 4 hours
- Develop, cover with the reserved brigadier, sprinkle with biscuit and serve afterwards.
