This is the case with carpets, tray AND wood panels with drawings extracted from a collage on paper (15×15 cm) which gave rise to the series of tiles Robert brothersor tile panel integrated in the carpentry of the shelf (which reproduces a gouache drawing G.04, still unpublished) and a piece of furniture with designs in relief on the doors, replicated from the series of tiles G.02.
All these reinterpretations and developments have been taken care of by art by Heloisa Amaral Peixoto to create numbered, customized, dated and signed pieces. “The visitor will also be able to get to know, firsthand, a re-edition of the Memories desk that Noel designed for me and my sister Andréa, in the 70s”, says his architect daughter Patricia Marino.
From a modular island sofa embraced by a large L-shaped bookcase, the duo created a living space relaxing, welcoming and timeless to bring family or friends together, offering reading and work corners. All this without giving up its visual identity and cutting-edge equipment to ensure practicality and comfort.
“Since the boutique hotel concept offers a differentiated experience for guests seeking sophisticated environments and personalized services, we have the edited by João Caetano to bring together designer furniture signed by established names, such as Claudia Moreira Salles, Jorge Zalszupin, Maria Cândida Machado and Jean Prouvé.
These pieces share space with no less important works of art by artists representing two generations – Marina Ribas stands out in the current crop, while Maria Polo it’s an icon of the 60s,” says Patricia Marinho.
“Our project also proposes a union of the majestic architecture of the mansion where the show takes place – with 4m ceiling height, tall windows, impressive portals and doors -, with the contemporary design of Noel Marinho, revisited by us”, concludes Manuèle Colas.
