Expert advice is don’t choose the perfume on the first spray. “Every skin reacts to a fragrance in a unique way, so the ideal is to try it and only go back to the store the next day to actually buy it,” he recommends. This way you will have more time to adjust to the smell and decide if you really like it or not.
Understand that perfume has phases
Did you know that perfume doesn’t give off exactly the same notes hours after use? And this happens thanks to the olfactory pyramid. Therefore, it is important to wait some time before deciding on that fragrance.
“The olfactory pyramid of a fragrance is formed by the top notes, those that are perceived immediately after a nebulization, but which evaporate quickly; the body notes, which appear as soon as the perfume is absorbed by the skin, where the main components are perfume that will make you love it or reject it; finally the base notes that give faces only after a few hours and imprint the personality of that smell”, clarifies the perfumer Ginger Fragrances.
