An Advertising and Propaganda student was washing the toilet at home when she had a serious accident intoxication, last Saturday (19), in Cuiabá. She needed to be rescued quickly and they gave her vein injections of adrenaline and anti-allergy.

The story is by Maria Luiza Rodrigues, 20 years old. The young woman says she was already used to mixing cleaning products and, although she felt some discomfort, she believed she was normal. Until the weekend, the mixture caused this problem.

Initially, the student says she had difficulty breathing and felt that her throat was “closing up”. But she continued to clean, because she was unaware of the potential seriousness of the situation, according to a report made to “G1 MT”.

So, coming out of the bathroom, Maria Luiza took some medicine to relieve the symptoms, which got worse instead. At that moment she was rescued by family members in a health unit.

“I had a lot of difficulty breathing and when I got to the hospital the doctors said my saturation was very low. They gave me an anti-allergy into a vein and immediately after they gave me an injection of adrenaline, which usually makes me more serious. On Sunday I also tried to exercise, but I couldn’t because I got tired very quickly,” he told the newspaper.

Maria Luiza shared her story to warn others. Once the scare has passed, she underlines the importance of reading the product labels, to avoid situations like the one that happened. Also, it’s worth remembering to avoid substance use at the first sign of being unwell.
