A Vitudea health technology company that develops mental health programs for companies conducted research that found that 10.4% of women experience severe or extremely severe levels of stress, a higher rate than that seen in men, in which this symptom appears in 6.66% of cases.

In the field of mental health, this disparity persists. The study also found that women (15.72%) experience severe anxiety attacks at a higher rate than men (9.90%).

Another relevant point highlighted in the publication is that 10.17% of women suffer from severe or extremely severe depression, a rate significantly higher than that of men (8.07%).

These numbers are due to the accumulation of tasks and responsibilities in the personal and professional sphere and some actions of organizations, even if unconsciously, aggravate the mental health problem, generating real impacts.

“We know that culturally they are still primarily responsible for various household functions,” says Tatiana Pimenta, CEO of Vittude.
