Since this is an item that is always on the shopping list, there is nothing better than taking advantage of everything the container has to offer.

You can use cardboard, plastic and foam boxes! Recycle the material and make some super cute pieces – you won’t believe they were made from egg cartons! Get the kids involved and have fun!

  2. Cut around each slit to form a butterfly wing;
  3. Choose the colors you want to use and place some on a paper plate. So you can mix and match;
  4. Wait for the paint to dry, take the pipe cleaners and twist each around the bodies of the butterflies, leaving two antennae on top;
  5. Finally, take a string, weave it into the back of the pipe cleaners of each butterfly and hang it wherever you like;

  4. Put the newspaper on the table to protect your countertop;
  5. Cut the cups from cardboard egg cartons and paint the outside blue. Let it dry;

  8. Hang the raindrop threads from the bottom of the cloud, then add the twine on top of the cloud to hang it.

3. Arrangement of flowers

Who knew these cheerful flowers are made of boxes?

materials

  • Egg box
  • Acrylic paint in various colors
  • Paper straws or bamboo skewers
  • buttons
  • hot glue
  • Recycled jar or jar
  • strip of fabric
  • Rice
  • Scissors

-

Instructions

  1. Cut the cups out of a cardboard egg carton and then cut the petal-shaped edges on each section. Flatten each flower and paint with acrylic paint;
  2. When the paint is dry, glue the flower, with hot glue, to the end of a straw and a button in the center of the flower;
  3. Decorate a recycled bottle with a strip of fabric and an additional flower. Fill the jar with dry rice and insert the flowers to make a beautiful composition.

4. Recycled mushrooms

-

These egg carton mushrooms are super cute! If you really like making them, you can make an entire forest of them.

materials

  • cardboard egg boxes
  • Acrylic colors in red and white
  • Hot glue gun
  • Scissors
  • Artificial grass (optional)

-

Instructions

  1. Make sure the boxes you use are clean. Sure, washing them may not be an option, but you can clean them with a good disinfectant or even vinegar;
  2. Using sharp scissors, cut out the “cup” part of the egg carton to create the mushroom head. Trim as many as you need and trim the edges to keep them looking good.
  3. Slightly flatten each cup so that they look more like mushrooms and less like umbrellas!
  4. Time to bring the colors! Here the colors red and white have been used, but you can create the combination you want;
  5. Use white paint to make dots on the mushroom heads to add some interest. Alternatively, you can glue a few dots of white foam for added texture;
  6. Now that the heads are ready, it’s time for the stems. Cut the side of the box into long strips. Wrap a strip so that it resembles the stem. The more robust, the more natural it will be!
  7. Attach the stems to the bottom of the mushroom heads with a hot glue gun and that’s it! You can use fake grass to place pieces and create a miniature garden!

5. Cherry branch

-

It is strange to think that recycled materials can be so beautiful!

materials

  • cardboard egg box
  • pink ink
  • 5 yellow pipe cleaners
  • 12 yellow beads
  • medium-sized branch
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun

-

Instructions

  1. Remove the top of the egg carton container. There are some buds protruding between the egg cups, cut them to make smaller flowers. Also cut each of the egg cups;
  2. From the buds cut triangles on each of the four sides to create “petals”;
  3. Cut each egg cup and make an opening from the top of one side almost to the bottom of the cup. Repeat on the other side of the egg cup, directly in front of the first crack. Now find the center between the first two and cut a third slit and finally a fourth slit directly in front of the third. Basically, you will be cutting four slits in a crisscross pattern;
  4. Round off the edges of each of these four slits using scissors;
  5. Paint all the egg cups and buttons, front and back, with pink paint. Let them dry completely;
  6. When they are dry, make a hole in the center of each egg cup and each button with the help of a toothpick or small knife;
  7. Take 4 of the 5 pipe cleaners and cut them in three. Leave the fifth brush aside for the moment;
  8. Pass a bead and push it down about an inch from the pipe cleaner and fold the excess cleaner over the bead. Now rotate the end of the pipe cleaner on itself and under the bead to secure it;
  9. Insert the open end of the cleaner into the flower of the egg cup and push it until the yellow dot touches the center of the piece;
  10. Repeat for all the flowers;
  11. To make the flower buttons, you will use the small cardboard buttons. Take the fifth pipe cleaner and cut it into 5 equal pieces;
  12. Take a pipe cleaner and fold it about 1/2 inch from the end. Fold it so that they are touching each other, this will prevent it from falling through the hole in the flower. Insert the open end of the cleaner into the center of the cups with small buttons. Repeat for all flower buds;
  13. Wrap the long end of the pipe cleaner around the branch;
  14. Group the flowers into groups of three and use the glue gun to attach the flowers to the branch.

8. Poinsettia frame

-

This craft will be a cute addition to your home!

materials

  • Canvas 20×30 cm
  • craft glue
  • Green and red acrylic paint
  • cardboard egg box
  • 6 green pipe cleaners
  • 6 golden pipe cleaners
  • Golden ribbon 60 cm long
  • Craft glue or hot glue gun
  • scissors
  • Pencil
  • brushes

-

Instructions

  1. Paint the entire canvas. There is no need to do anything special, just paint a few coats and let it dry;
  2. Then take an egg carton with 12 compartments. We recommend using a cardboard box to make painting easier;
  3. Cut the 12 compartments apart and then form flowers. This basically involves cutting a “U” or “V” shape on each side;
  4. Apply the red paint on the 12 flowers and wait for it to dry. You can speed up the drying time with a hairdryer!
  5. Choose six flowers to make four holes with a pen. There is a circle in the center of the base of the compartments, so drill holes on the outside of the circle between each “petal”;
  6. You will string the gold pipe cleaners through these holes. Cut the cleaners in half and pass half through two holes and the other half through the other two;
  7. Repeat with the remaining five flowers. Rotate the pipe cleaners only to fix them in the center and cut them if desired;
  8. For the remaining six flowers, glue each one onto a finished flower, making sure the petals are interspersed;
  9. Use craft glue or hot glue for this;
  10. For green pipe cleaners, we recommend tying them with a piece of gold ribbon;
  11. Arrange your flowers on the canvas however you like, then glue them with craft glue;
  12. Cut the green pipe cleaners to fit under the poinsettias and glue them too. Let everything dry.
