The ship docked in the city of Fortaleza, capital of Ceará, more precisely in Pier 106 of the Port of Mucuripe, in Avenida Vicente de Castro, 1403. Starting from Saturday 7th, the curious and lovers of cultural tours will be able to visit the boat for free sailing during the ship’s first season in the country. Then, Amerigo Vespucci heads towards the Wonderful City. It will be on display in Rio de Janeiro from October 20th.
During the guided tours, which will take place from 10.30am to 5pm, tourists will be able to learn about the functions of the ship, which is more than 100 meters long, 21 meters wide and 28 meters high. The two stops in Brazil are part of the world tour that Amerigo Vespucci is carrying out.
The journey began on July 1, 2023. On this date, the “most beautiful ship in the world” departed from the port of Genoa, Italy. During the journey you will pass through 28 countries and 31 ports, covering 5 continents and 3 oceans. In February 2025 he will return to her hometown. In addition to tourism, the ship is also used for the training of students of the Italian Naval Academy and the Naval College.
