The “I want to get married” program includes face-to-face lessons, online courses and one-on-one tutoring
It is not uncommon to see young or mature heterosexual women complaining about difficulty finding a partner. These complaints are present both on social media and in conversations at bars and, why not, in churches.
Then a business opportunity came along. Communicator Natália Varela Alves, 47, saw the suffering of the market, to quote a fashionable advertising term, and launched a course for women looking for the perfect man.
This is “Quero Casar”, a project that includes in-person lessons, online courses and also individual mentoring. The cost (or investment) goes up to R$2,899 for the conference package, which includes three nights in a luxury hotel in Leblon, Rio de Janeiro, and a tour of Christ the Redeemer.
“The desire to get married is present in the lives of the vast majority of women”, recalls Natália in the book that bears the same name as her project. The passage was reported by the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo, which reported the event.
“Still little, they imagine themselves dressed as a bride, dazzled for the big day. The dolls become daughters, and already contemplate, with sweet innocence, the dream of a happy family”, analyzes Natália in another passage of the literary work.
According to the communicator, this dream collapses if emotional preparation is missing and this is where its course comes into play. “I’m here to help you! God’s plans will never have an expiration date.”
According to the publication, the audience consisted of around twenty women, including divorced women and others who had never abandoned their single status. Everyone is looking for the fate of Natália, who has found a partner.
The story of the winner
At the event the communicator tells her story: she got married at 19 and separated six months later. Subsequently, she developed depression, bulimia and suffered from emotional dependence which caused her to become involved in several hopeless love affairs.
Then, he had a second marriage that didn’t work out. Before the age of 30 she divorced for the second time.
It was in 2004 that she became an evangelical, brought to church at the time by a boyfriend. There she learned Biblical facts such as that her body belongs to her husband.
Only later did he meet his third and current partner, the former footballer Magno Alves. She Natália says she fired him for two consecutive years before giving him a chance: she was playing in Qatar when she went to Asia for a visit. She returned from there with a ring on her finger.
In 2013, already married, the twins Levi and Lis arrived. They later had their youngest daughter, Loren. “Marriage is God’s greatest project on Earth,” she claims in an interview with Folha. The communicator underlines that women must not settle for little, after all they are not on the shelf to be chosen. On the contrary, it is her choice.
Therefore, the woman must value herself so as not to become the one “who in a toxic relationship eats the crumbs that fall from the table”. Natalia encourages “emotional independence.”
