Oat and coconut bar

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (tea) wheat flour
  • 1 cup oats (tea)
  • 1 cup softened margarine
  • 1 cup (tea) of wheat germ
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange peel
  • 1 cup (tea) brown sugar
  • Flour to flour your hands

Roof

  • 100 g of Brazil nuts
  • 50 g of walnuts
  • 1/2 cup fresh coconut pieces
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup (tea) brown sugar
  • Grated coconut for sprinkling

Preparation method:

  1. For the dough, blend all the ingredients in the blender, using the pulse button, until it forms a ball.
  2. With floured hands, take the dough and line a square baking pan, measuring 20 cm on each side.
  3. Chop the chestnuts in the mixer, coarsely, remove and set aside
  4. In the meantime, do the same with the walnuts and fresh coconut, mix and distribute over the dough.
  5. Beat the eggs with the brown sugar until well blended, pour over the cake and then bake in a preheated oven for 35 minutes at a moderate temperature, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Leave to cool, cut into 12 pieces, sprinkle with grated coconut and serve immediately.
