The National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform (Incra) has finalized the inclusion of all indigenous lands (TIs) in the National Rural Register System (SNCR). The approval decrees were signed by the president in April Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Registration began in June. Among the registered TIs are Arara do Rio Amônia, in Acre, Avá-Canoeiro, in Goiás, Kariri-Xocó, in Alagoas, Rio dos Índios, in Rio Grande do Sul, Tremembé da Barra do Mundaú, in Ceará, and Uneiuxi, in the Amazon.

Managed by INCRA and the Federal Revenue Agency, the National Rural Registry System constitutes the constituent basis of the National Rural Property Registry (CNIR). Contains data on rural properties, as well as on owners and holders, tenants and rural partners, of public lands and woodlands.
