A Loneliness is a universal feeling which can affect people at different stages of their lives and in different ways. In this article we will explore how astrology can help us understand and deal with loneliness, whether you are in a relationship or not.
We cover several common situations in which loneliness can arise and how astrology can provide valuable insights to help you overcome feelings of loneliness.
It is worth mentioning that, in addition to being an astrologer, I am also a psychologist, so I am very careful when dealing with love issues and pains like this.
The different types of loneliness
Loneliness is not a one-time experience; it manifests itself in many ways. Some people feel lonely because they are physically alone, while others feel lonely even if they are in a relationship.
There are also those who find themselves facing a constant feeling of inner emptiness that seems impossible to fill. Every situation is unique, and astrology can help us understand why we feel this way.
Below we’ll tackle three types of loneliness, telling you how to identify if you’re prone to them in your life. Astrological chart and also give you advice on how to overcome this challenging feeling.

1. Loneliness of those who are without a partner and miss them
Astrologically, it is important to observe the 7th House in your birth chartAlso known as Downwardthe other’s house.
The seventh house relates to our relationships and how we view ours ideal love partner: find out more about it here.
If you have many planets in the seventh houseyour expectations of your partner can be quite high.
You can expect the person to be friendly, confidant and emotionally involved, but also strong and assertive. These high (or even unrealistic) expectations can make it difficult to find someone who meets all of these criteria.
How to see if you have planets in the seventh house?
- Create your free Astral Map here.
- Then, go to the side menu, under your mandala, and select the option Astrological houses.
- Go to House 7 and see if there are any planets next to it.
- In the example below, the person has Sun and Mercury in the seventh house.
- If you have it too, see here what the planets in the seventh house mean.
- Below, we tell you how to understand these planets in relation to loneliness and what you can do about it.
What do the planets of the seventh house represent
For example, if you have Venus in the seventh house, you want to find a caring person to have a relationship with. But if you also have Mercury in this house, that’s not enough, because you also want someone who knows how to make intellectual exchanges.
And, if he still has Saturn in the 7th house, he will want him to be a mature person, but if he has Jupiter, he will still have to be young.
There are a lot of expectations for the same person, right? The chances of finding someone who meets all these requirements are much lower than if we were simply open to love.
What to do with this information?
Although these planets are in your seventh house, which is the house of each other, the astral chart remains yours. In other words, it’s not someone who causes you this feeling of loneliness.
You have to get out of this place of lack and expectation that one day someone else will come along to complete you. By doing this, you free the universe to place a kind person in your life.
2. Loneliness even if you are in a relationship
Some people have stable relationships, long or short, but still feel lonely.
This type of loneliness can be linked to a difficulty that the person has in the relationship or in the couple’s interaction.
In these cases I invite you to take a look in this video about types of attachment in relationships. In this episode we address the different ways of relating that can create disagreements and gaps, but which can be corrected with adjustments.
3. Constant loneliness, alone or in a relationship
Whether you are in a relationship or without a partner, do you feel a constant loneliness, as if it were an existential void or a hole in your soul? It’s much more common than you think.
This type of feeling can be rooted in childhood and, astrologically, can be associated with difficult aspects (square or opposition) with the Moon and Venus in your astrological chart.
They generally indicate childhood experiences that have left profound signs of absence and lack of emotional nourishment or idealized searches for love. In these cases, finding fulfillment outside of yourself can be very challenging, leading to a feeling of constant loneliness.
How do you know if you have this tendency?
- Open your free astral map here.
- Then go to the third chapter, on the Moon, just below the title Your emotional: Moon, see if difficult aspects appear with Pluto, such as a square or opposition. So, see if there is one between Venus and Saturn or Neptune.
- In the image below, the person has the Moon square Pluto.
- Below I’ll tell you a little about what this might mean.
What do these tense aspects mean?
One Moon-Pluto square or oppositionfor example, it indicates that this is a child who probably had no emotional support and needed to be independent from an early age.
Thus, he has learned that emotional surrender is something threatening and he sabotages his relationships for fear of having to rely on that person.
If there is Moon-Saturn in tension, he probably remembers much more and even reinforces the negative experiences he had, especially in childhood, such as absences or emotional frustrations.
If you have one Difficult aspect Venus-Saturn, functions more or less like a seventh house full of planets, creating many prerequisites for your perfect match. Venus-Neptune represents the search for the ideal person, which leads to platonic love or unavailable people.
What to do with this information?
If you have tense aspects involving the Moon and Venus, it is important to identify within yourself what you need to learn to identify what you have been missing and to nourish yourself without depending on someone else. To achieve this, it is essential to search for the file therapeutic process.
As you heal this emotional wound and access your vulnerability, you will be able to nourish yourself and let yourself be nourished in a unique way.
How to deal with loneliness with the help of astrology
Astrology can be a valuable tool for dealing with loneliness, especially because it helps you identify the root of this feeling, regardless of whether you are with someone or not.
But it’s important to stress that astrology is not a substitute for therapeutic work, but can offer valuable insights into behavior patterns and emotional challenges that you can bring into therapy.
