No matter how well furnished an apartment is, if it smells bad, no one will consider it chic or comfortable.
Here are some tips that will help you get rid of unpleasant odors – choose the one that suits you!
Add ozone
Do you remember the clean, fresh smell you get during a storm? It’s all about ozone, a gas that forms under the influence of ultraviolet radiation or during lightning discharges. It can also be achieved using a home ozonizer – room disinfection will be a bonus.
Infuse the desired flavor
Choose the ingredients whose smell you like, throw them into a pot of water and put it on low heat – and soon the whole house will smell. In winter, for example, you can use apple slices and cinnamon sticks. Remember to check the water level, otherwise you will get the opposite effect from what you want.
To clean
We’re a bit Captain Obvious today, but we can’t help but remember this obvious tip: to add good smells to your home, simply use scented products while cleaning. Choose the ones you like – for example, buy a universal spray for all surfaces with strawberry scent.

Spray the pillows
Musty smells don’t just happen; they have sources. One of them is pillows, sofas, curtains and carpets, which we wash much less often than sheets. To refresh these items, you can use a special textile spray or a one-to-one mixture of water and vinegar.
Put a candle in your coffee
Do you like the smell of coffee? You don’t need to make espresso to feel it. There is a simpler trick: fill a glass or ceramic container with coffee beans, place a burning candle there, and the aroma of coffee will very quickly spread throughout the apartment.
Spray perfume on a light bulb
It’s a slightly strange trick, but it works well: spray your favorite scent on a cool light bulb, let it dry, then turn it on – the aroma that fills the room will be subtle and barely noticeable. Essential oils are also suitable for this method: apply the one you like to a cotton swab and then wipe the glass with it.
Use vanilla extract
It can not only be added to baked goods, but also used to flavor rooms: apply the extract to pieces of sponge cake, then place them in different rooms. It is best if the place is warm, for example near the radiator.
