MDF panel brand used design thinking and gamification techniques to create Oracle Spaces of the Future – Brainstorm Tarot
Guararapes announces the launch of Oracle Spaces of the Future – Brainstorm Tarot: the novelty combines elements of tarot, design thinking and gamification, offering architecture and design professionals and students a tool to explore their creativity and create innovative projects.
Brand-curated trends identified by WGSN, a leading global consultancy in predicting consumer habits, and turned them into a brainstorming game. Inspired by the concept of tarot, the board uses cards that indicate different combinations of trends, thus stimulating the creative process.
“The game is a fun and educational experience that reinforces Guararapes’ authority in the world of trends. It is part of the Espaços do Futuro editorial team, which includes conferences, videos and the annual project competition. The game encourages creativity by providing thousands of combinations and mixing trends with visual elements of futurology”, explains Diego Andrade, coordinator of integrated communication at Guararapes.
The Oracle is made up of 60 cards, divided into four categories: Observer, Wishes, Answers and Solutions. The player thinks about the project he needs to develop and draws four cards, one for each group, which will show a macro trend, a consumer desire, a path and possible solutions to respond to the customer’s desire. By cross-referencing the possibilities presented, the player develops creative solutions for the project, like a tarot game, but based on trend studies.
