– 40 g of unsalted butter or as required
DUCE DE LEITE Ingredients
– 2 tablespoons of dulce de leche

– 2/3 tablespoon(s) of sugar, sifted
– vanilla essence to taste
Ingredients To finish
– instant coffee to taste (optional)
PREPARATION:
- Separate the recipe ingredients and utensils.
- Store fresh cream in the refrigerator until ready to use.
- The measurements in this recipe are for reference, adjust if necessary based on the size of your pot.
PREPARATION:
Base for biscuit dough (without baking):
- Place the cornstarch biscuit in the blender or food processor and process until fine crumbs form.
- Melt the butter in a non-metallic bowl in the microwave or in a pan over low heat – leave it just long enough to melt – don’t let it change colour.
- Transfer the crumbled biscuits into a bowl, pour in the melted butter and mix well until a moist dough forms.
- Distribute the basic mixture on the bottom of the pot(s) or cup(s) and press well with your fingertips to firm it up.
- Store the cups with the dough in the refrigerator until ready to assemble.
Whipped cream (do this step just before assembling):
- Place the cooled fresh cream in the bowl of a stand mixer, sift it and add the sugar and vanilla essence.
- Beat on low speed until it begins to thicken.
- Increase speed to medium and beat until solid, to the point of whipped cream.
- Set aside, preferably in a piping bag, with the nozzle you prefer or place it in a bowl.
- Store in the refrigerator until ready to assemble.
Banoffee in a jar:
- Once the dough is firm, start assembling the banoffee.
- Peel the banana(s), cut into slices.
- Spread the dulce de leche all over the bottom of the dough, leveling it.
- Then, arrange the banana slices.
- Lastly, add the whipped cream: if you prefer, use a piping bag for a more refined decoration or spread it with a spoon, creating a more casual decoration.
- Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:
- When serving, remove the banoffe from the refrigerator.
- Finish by sprinkling a little instant coffee powder (optional) over the whipped cream.
