Roast chicken is a common dish for Sunday lunches. It is practical to prepare and can be served with various side dishes. In addition to being wholemeal, you can use leg, thigh, breast or wings in recipes, making everything even more versatile and tasty. Simple roast chicken
ingredients
- 1 a whole chicken
- 4 cloves of garlic, pressed
- 2 sprigs of rosemary
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons dry white wine
- Salt, black pepper and ground nutmeg to taste

Preparation method
In a container, prepare a marinade with all the ingredients. In a baking dish, cover the chicken with the marinade and let it rest for 30 minutes. Cover with aluminum foil and place in a preheated oven at medium temperature for about 1h20 minutes. Remove the aluminum foil and keep it in the oven until golden brown. Serve immediately.
Thigh with honey and orange
ingredients
- 8 pieces of thigh
- Juice of 1 orange
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 3 crushed garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Greasing oil
Preparation method
Place the garlic, honey, salt, ginger and orange juice in a container. Add the pieces of chicken and mix well. Leave to mature for at least 1 hour. Then grease a baking dish with olive oil, arrange the chicken pieces, pour over the rest of the seasoning and cover with aluminum foil. Bake in medium oven for 30 minutes. Then remove the aluminum foil and leave to brown for about 30 minutes. Serve with the sauce remaining in the pan.

Chicken wings with barbecue sauce
ingredients
- 500 g of chicken wing
- Salt and ground black pepper to taste
- Parsley to decorate
- 200 g of tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons of ketchup
- 3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
- 3 tablespoons of water
- 3 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 bay leaf
Preparation method
Add the sugar to a saucepan and heat over low heat. When it has dissolved, add the water, vinegar and tomato sauce. Mixing well. Add ketchup, bay leaf, season with salt and black pepper. Mix well and let the sauce thicken. Reserve.
In a bowl, season the chicken wings with salt and black pepper. Place them in a baking dish and brush them with a little sauce. Place in a preheated oven at 180°C for 10 minutes. Remove the wings, turn them over, brush with more sauce and return to the oven for another 10 minutes. Continue to turn and brush the sauce every 10 minutes, until the wings are cooked through and golden brown. It should take a maximum of 40 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley and serve immediately.
