This Monday 11th Preta Gil announced on his social networks that his treatment for bowel cancer has ended after a successful surgery.

The 49-year-old singer posted a video on Instagram to talk about the new milestone.

“My loves, the day of this long-awaited video has finally arrived and it is with great joy that I come to share this news!!! My oncology treatment ends after surgery to reconstruct my intestinal tract and reverse the ilestomy! I continue in the rehabilitation process and I will remain for 5 years under medical care, where I will have my routine checks, but which is common for cancer patients like me”, he began.

“I am very, very, very happy and grateful!!! To everyone who left me a message of affection, to every hug of affection I received on the street, to my entire support network, to the friends and family who they didn’t do it” Don’t let go of my hand for even a second!!! To all the healthcare workers who were with me in this fight, to my doctors, nurses, nursing technicians and physiotherapists! Without you I wouldn’t be here!”has continued.
