The owner recently lost his home and did not want to leave the animals behind, however, due to the 32ºC heat, the cats have been rescued and are available for adoption.

Forty-seven cats living inside a car in the United States were rescued in the past week and taken to a shelter. The case took place in Harris, Minnesota.
According to the newspaper Washington Post, the owner, who recently became homeless, did not want to leave the animals behind. According to Animal Humane Society researcher Ashley Pudas, the owner had lived “for a long time” in the car with the animals.
“Unfortunately, in the heat, the owner recognized that he was beyond what he was capable of [de fazer] right now. And it allowed us to help them, “he said. Despite the heat, temperatures reaching 32 degrees in the region and unsanitary conditions, the animals were rescued with only minor health problems.
Cats range in age from less than one year to more than 12 years. All will be sterilized and made available for adoption, officials said. The owner, who has not been identified, had already given up on 14 of the cats living in the car, taken from a local NGO.
