Singer Michael Bolton revealed that he had been diagnosed brain cancer. In a post on his social media, the artist reported that he underwent emergency surgery on Friday the 5th. Bolton assured that his recovery is going well and announced that he will have to temporarily step away from the stage.
“I want to start by wishing everyone a very happy and healthy new year!”, begins the text published on Instagram. “I also want to share that 2023 ended up presenting some very unexpected challenges. Just before the holidays, it was discovered that I had a brain tumor, which required immediate surgery,” the singer said.
“Thanks to my incredible medical team, the surgery was a success. I am now recovering at home and surrounded by the enormous love and support of my family. Over the next few months I will dedicate my time and energy to my recovery, the which means I will have to take a temporary break from touring,” he added.
He expressed optimism about his return to the stage and thanked his fans for their support. “Please know that I take your positive messages to heart and will provide you with further updates as soon as possible,” she concluded.
