Yasmin Brunet Admits Vaping Abstinence on BBB 24; what are the symptoms?

In addition to addiction, e-cigarettes can also affect your health and appearance. See the risks.

Confined to BBB 24 since last Monday (8), model Yasmin Brunet reported e-cigarette withdrawal symptoms in a conversation with singer Wanessa Camargo: “I’m sleepless. I’m without my vape. I’m almost going there to smoke a cigarette cigarette and fuck off,” he reported.

The model’s outburst has revived the discussion on the topic and the dangers of electronic cigarettes, popularly known as vapes or pods. Although many believe that this product serves as a “mediator” to abandon conventional cigarettes, the truth is that vaping also causes damage to health, in addition to causing addiction.

The nicotine dosage of the device varies depending on the manufacturer: the lowest is equivalent to six conventional cigarettes, the highest to 18. With aromas and flavors, they are capable of generating addiction from the first puff. It is worth mentioning that vaporizers release particles of heavy metals, solvents and other chemicals.

Furthermore, it is interesting to mention that e-cigarettes allow the user to take more puffs than conventional cigarettes. These puffs deliver nicotine to the brain, the areas that regulate memories and emotions. So the abstinence reported by Yasmin is real.

Side effects

Psychologist Romanni Souza explains that withdrawal symptoms include mood changes, difficulty concentrating, irritability, tremors, insomnia and headaches. “During the first week without vaping, side effects may appear due to the release of antioxidants, while after a month the person may feel psychologically tired, even if their body is stronger,” she points out.

Known for her healthy lifestyle, Yasmin sparked outrage from some internet users after sharing about her addiction.

The specialist suggested approaches to deal with abstinence in a healthy way, underlining the importance of psychotherapy, occupational therapies, avoiding environments with smokers, practicing physical exercise and also considering the company of a dog, something that Yasmin will not be able to do in reality …who knows in the future?

Negative effects of vaping

In an interview with the Jornal from USP no Ar, pulmonologist Stella Martins pointed out that users of e-cigarettes are 42% more likely to have a heart attack than those who do not use the product. Since it contains nicotine, vaping can also cause cardiovascular problems, effects on the immune system, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and various types of cancer (lung, larynx, esophagus, bladder…).

In addition to these risks, e-cigarettes can also harm users’ mouths, teeth, and breath. Not to mention the skin, since vaping accelerates premature aging and can cause infections and dermatitis. Yasmin, take care!
