Ingredients:

  • 400 g of pearl onion
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 cup of coffee
  • 5 sprigs of thyme
  • 200 g of puff pastry/cake



Preparation method:

Place the onions cut in half with the cut side facing down, add salt and pepper, add the rest of the ingredients, cover and heat for about 30 minutes over low heat. Once cooked, transfer the onions in the same arrangement into a baking dish and cover it with the shortcrust pastry, cut in half and cook for about 30 minutes or until the pastry is golden. Leave to cool slightly and turn out onto a plate.
