The follower injured himself with a device and fears that it happened to someone before him
Doctor, I cut myself there in the gym with a device. If someone there had cut themselves before me, would there be a risk of contracting HIV?
What a story! You created a whole hypothesis there. You got hurt a little on a device, it was clear that if someone else got hurt, there might be some blood left, which would eventually contain virus, and you could get infected by that virus.
This way you don’t get infected with HIV. The risk of HIV is basically due to unprotected sexual intercourse, the exchange of needles and syringes, or the passage from mother to child during pregnancy or breastfeeding, if the mother is not treated. Other than that, there is no risk of HIV transmission.
Sharing a cup, sharing a piece of silverware, sharing a plate, maybe putting your hand where someone put their hand or cutting yourself on the weight machine, as you told us, that doesn’t carry the risk of HIV.
