From free activities in parks to mega exhibitions, the program in the capital of Sao Paulo will be varied (and for all ages)
Museum of the Portuguese language
(Praça da Língua, s/nº – Luz – Sao Paulo)
The Carnival program continues until February 22nd with a block for children of all ages, props and music workshops and a dance for seniors.
On this Saturday, February 3, the Musical Workshop for Children is scheduled at 10 am; and Bloco Cornucópia Desvairada, from 11:00 to 12:30. On the same day, the Karaoke Infinito installation will be inaugurated, in dialogue with the temporary exhibition ‘Our song’. Arrive, take the microphone and release your voice.
During the day February, 10 (Carnival Saturday), from 1pm to 2.30pm, the Balangandãs Workshop takes place; it’s at February 22 (Thursday), at 2pm, Falas do Corpo – Seniors’ Carnival Ball, with physical education lessons, workshops, courses and dances for the over 60s.
All activities take place in Hall B of the museum and have free entry.
The museum will be open during Carnival, 10, 11 and 13 February, excluding Mondays which are closed for maintenance. On Ash Wednesday, the 14th, the institution opens at 12:00.

Keys: The Exhibition
(MIS Experience – Rua Cenno Sbrighi, 250 – Água Branca)
Until the day March 30this mega exhibition (R$ 60) continues with a collection dedicated to the ‘Chaves’ and ‘Chapolin’ series.
It is located in a space of more than a thousand m², where the visitor circulates through 26 scenes with more than two thousand pieces donated by the family of Roberto Bolaños, such as personal objects, props and costumes of the two most famous characters of Chespirito, as it was met the comedian.
According to the organization, pre-carnival blocks are planned around the MIS Experience, so the recommendation is to arrive early for the visit.
Horror at the cinema
(Museum of Image and Sound – Avenida Europa, 158, Jardim Europa)
The mega exposure to horror subgenres remains on display till the day February 18that MIS, with thematic sectors dedicated to vampires, zombies and much more, in environments with sound, visual and olfactory stimuli.
The visitor goes through an immersive tour of cinema classics, such as “Nosferatu” (1922), “Drácula” (1931), “Psycho” (1960), “The Exorcist” (1973), “Jaws” (1975), “ Alien” (1979), “The Shining” (1980), “Friday the 13th” (1980), “The Blair Witch Project” (1999), among others.

Exhibition “Grey City”.

Until the next day February 5the Tivoli Mofarrej São Paulo hotel hosts this exhibition with photos by the artist João Rocha.
Open to the general public and with free entry, the exhibition brings the photographer’s point of view to the city of São Paulo, which turned 470 years old on January 25.
Living with robots
(House of Japan – Avenida Paulista, 52 – Bela Vista)
The focus of this exhibition is friendly robots, those that allow us to understand and respond intuitively to human needs and expressions, in shops, schools, hospitals, nursing homes and even in the home life of all days.
There are 11 robots divided into four categories: colleagues, companions, communicative robots and robots that help humans. The exhibition also shows a timeline of the history of robots in Japan and around the world, such as the ancestor of robots: the tea-serving automaton Chahakobi Ningyô.
The exhibition is free and can be visited from Tuesday to Friday, from 10am to 6pm; Saturday, Sunday and holidays, from 10:00 to 19:00.

A tour of the world – Navigating children’s cinema
(CCBB Rua Álvares Penteado, 112 – Historic Center)
Until the day February 4On Sunday, this exhibition with more than 50 films from eight countries, including Brazil, presents children’s films, at the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil.
The event is free to enter and runs from Wednesday to Sunday with other activities, such as workshops, shows and attractions focused on sustainability.

Villa Lobos Park
(Av. Prof. Fonseca Rodrigues, 2001 – Alto de Pinheiros)
Family in the Park will have free themed games with entertainers, to the sound of Carnival marches, and paid activities (starting from R$ 10), such as giant inflatables, zip lines, climbing walls, slides, soapy football and an inflatable boat powered by water jet.
The free program includes a children’s block (11am), a dance competition (12pm), a costume parade (1pm), a children’s block (2pm and 4pm) and a dance competition (3pm and 5pm).
Both options take place during the pre-carnival (3 and 4 February) and also in the days 10, 13, 18, 19, 25 and 26 February, from 10:00 to 18:00. (familianoparque.com.br)

White Water Park

Inflatables and trampoline (from R$10) are some of the activity options for children.
Another attraction is the 20-minute ride (R$30), on a small train that takes visitors to the main historical points of the park, such as the farmer’s building, the aquarium, the black lake, the Caboclo house, the livestock area, the playground and the Pau trail. -Brazil.
These special activities take place on February 10th and 11th (Saturday and Sunday), from 10:00 to 18:00. (familianoparque.com.br)
Cantareira
The Saturday after Carnival, February 17there will be another edition of ‘3 Parks in 1 Day’ (R$ 200 per person), an activity that starts at 8.30am with Ibiratour, a guided circuit with electric trolleys in Ibirapuera Park (optional).
From there, visitors proceed to Gate 3 of the site, to continue the tour to Alberto Löfgren State Park – Horto Florestal and Cantareira State Park, in the north of São Paulo.
The departure is scheduled for 9.30 am and the return between 5.00 pm and 5.30 pm, at the Horto Visitor Center, the final meeting point of the group.
Already the day February, 24the Night Walk (R$ 120 per person) takes place, from 7pm to 11pm, in the Cantareira State Park, which heads towards Pedra Grande, a natural viewpoint with panoramic views of the city.

Interparques
Although still under construction, this 170 km route is considered the longest trail in the city of São Paulo.
When fully ready, the trail will start from the Balsa da Ilha do Bororé – Grajaú and pass through the Bororé, Varginha, Itaim and Jaceguava parks. From there it will continue through the Várzeas do Embu-Guaçu State Park, the Cratera de Colônia PNM, the Serra do Mar Curucutu State Park and, finally, the Natural Heritage Private Nature Reserve – RPPN Curucutu.
All of the above units are now open to the public.
Go by route
This tourism program, managed by the Municipality and the Municipal Department of Tourism of the city of São Paulo, invites residents to get to know the city itself, through 14 free thematic itineraries in places such as the Historic Triangle, Baixo Augusta and Vila Madalena.
Most of the tours are done on foot and last between 1h30 and 2h, such as the “Roteiro Liberdade”, which passes through the main points of the neighborhood, and the “Roteiro Neo Química Arena – Corinthians”, which tells the story of this stadium, in the east area of Sao Paulo.
Visits must be booked in advance via the Sympla platform and include a guide service registered by the Municipal Tourism Department. Although they are free, some places visited have an additional entrance fee.
