In several interviews given during and after the awards ceremony, the 25-year-old musician also explained why she decided to “erase” the more than 80 tattoos that cover her skin. “I love my tattoos, I love my piercings, I love all things that modify the body, art and even sometimes I don’t want it to distract me from the art which is the fashion that I wear,” she explained to Entertainment Tonight . “And she gives her dress her moment,” she continued.

The tattoos were covered by two makeup artists: Tyson Fountain and Gage Munster. She also said that when she thought about covering up the drawings, she remembered an old friend. “I made a friend when I worked on ‘American Horror Story’ a few years ago, Tyson Fountain, he did my body makeup in a nude scene. When I decided to do it, I wanted to call him. I had my dream team,” he concluded.
