Ingredients:
- 1 cup (tea) sugar
- 1 cup (tea) warm water
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 cup (tea) softened butter
- 1 teaspoon of panettone essence
- 2 cups candied fruit
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Preparation method:
- In a bowl, mix the yeast with the sugar and water until completely dissolved.
- Add the egg yolks and butter and mix.
- Add the essence and the flour and mix with a wooden spoon until you obtain a smooth and elastic mixture.
- Add the candied fruit and mix.
- Divide the dough into 2 dove molds with a capacity of 500g each.
- Leave to rest for 1 hour.
- Bake in a preheated medium oven for 40 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, let cool, sprinkle with icing sugar using a sieve and serve.
