Chef Rafull Torres teaches you a different way to prepare fruit salad and ensures it lasts much longer in the fridge!
A good fruit salad for an afternoon snack or even to replace dessert with something healthier and more practical is the perfect option.
Fruit salad is commonly made with orange juice, which ends up oxidizing (becoming bitter) and not preserving the fruit, leaving them dark and unappetizing. But I have a trick!
By replacing this orange juice with a sugar syrup, the fruits are preserved for longer, they do not darken and this syrup takes on a lot of flavor as the days go by, making the salad even tastier.
Another mistake I find in fruit salads in general is the size of the fruits, not being able to eat and taste them all in a single spoonful. I think that by cutting the fruits smaller and increasing their variety, the salad is tastier and more balanced. .
