Tin can -> pie mold

Any housewife knows that a can is an excellent form of Easter cake. But how about making an apple pie there?

Ingredients for the dough:

  • 2 cups of flour,
  • 240 grams of butter,
  • 1/2 cup of semolina,
  • 4 tablespoons of water,
  • 4 tablespoons of milk,
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar,
  • 1 teaspoon of salt,
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg.

Filling ingredients:

  • 3-4 large apples,
  • 160 grams of butter,
  • 4 tablespoons of condensed milk,
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour,
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice,
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon,
  • 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg,
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt,
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cloves.

Mix all the dry ingredients for the dough, add the butter cut into pea-sized pieces, milk and water, knead with your hands until smooth, put in the refrigerator. Peel the apples, cut them into cubes, add the water and lemon juice. Mix together the sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and salt.

Roll out the dough to about half a centimeter thick. Cut out four 25×15 cm rectangles and four circles using the top of a jar with a capacity of approximately 450 ml as a shape. Place a circle on the bottom of the mold, move it with a spoon exactly to the center. Wrap the rectangle of dough around a floured rolling pin, let it slide into the pot and use a spatula to press the seam. Cut off excess dough on top.

Drain the water from the apples, roll them in a mixture of sugar, flour and spices, distribute evenly among the jars, pour condensed milk into each tablespoon and put 40 grams of butter cut into cubes. Arrange the strips of leftover dough on top in a lattice shape. Place the jars in the oven heated to 190 degrees and bake the dessert for 20-30 minutes.
