Originating in the Roman Empire, food was offered to guests to satisfy their hunger while they enjoyed themselves. But over time, thanks to its simple and practical preparation, this type of meal has conquered the world and, today, it is one of the main attractions during celebrations. Sausage roll

ingredients

  • 5 cups wheat flour
  • 1 egg
  • 5 cups breadcrumbs
  • 400ml of milk
  • 10 boiled sausages
  • 400 ml of hot water
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 100 g of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 1 egg beaten for breading
  • Wheat flour for dusting
  • Fry oil

Preparation method

Place the water, milk, beef broth, butter and salt in a pan, mix and bring to the boil over medium heat. Then, remove from the heat, add the wheat flour and the egg and mix well. Return to the heat and cook until the mixture comes away from the bottom of the pan. Turn off the heat and wait for the mixture to cool. Flour a smooth surface with wheat flour, place the dough on it, knead and divide into two equal parts.

With the help of a spoon, take some dough and open it in the palm of your hand, fill it with the sausage and close it by wrapping it around, lifting the top and bottom parts above the ends. Repeat the operation with the entire dough and dip the rolls in the egg and breadcrumbs. Reserve. In a pan, add the oil and place over medium heat to heat. Little by little, place the rolls in the pan and fry them until golden brown. Then, place them in a container with absorbent paper to drain the excess oil and serve them immediately.

Sweet and crunchy peanuts

ingredients

  • 210 g of peanuts without shell
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 240 ml of water

Preparation method

Place the peanuts in a pan and cook them over medium heat for 3 minutes. Add the sugar, water and raise the heat. Cook until a whitish consistency is obtained, stirring constantly. Then, turn off the heat, put the peanuts in a container, wait for them to cool and then serve.

Coalho cheese tapioca cube

ingredients

  • 1/2 liter of warm whole milk
  • 250 g of tapioca starch
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 400 g of cheese grated rennet

Preparation method

Place the tapioca, cheese and salt in a container and mix well. Add the milk and mix until you obtain a homogeneous mixture. Line a baking tray with cling film, pour the dough over it and roll it out. Refrigerate until solid. Remove from the refrigerator and, using a knife, cut it into cubes. Arrange the cubes on a baking tray lined with baking paper and place in a preheated medium oven until golden brown. Serve immediately.

  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons of mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 clove of garlic, peeled and chopped
  • 4 chicken breasts cut into cubes
  • Thyme to taste

Preparation method

Place the mustard, lemon juice, garlic, thyme and chicken broth in a bowl and mix well. Add the chicken, stir to combine, cover with cling film and leave to rest for 2 hours. Then arrange the chickens on the skewers and place them on a baking tray lined with aluminum foil. Place in a preheated oven at 200ºC for 20 minutes. Serve immediately.

Salami stuffed with ricotta cream

ingredients

  • 250 g of milk cream
  • 200 ricotta
  • 1/5 cup lemon juice
  • 300 g of sliced ​​salami
  • 2 tablespoons of capers
  • Salt and black olives to taste

Preparation method

Place the cream, ricotta, lemon juice and salt in a blender and blend until you obtain a smooth consistency. Reserve. Then roll the salami into a cone and secure it with toothpicks. Fill with the ricotta cream and garnish with the olives. Serve immediately.
