The operation took place thanks to a donor who was 100% compatible with Fabiana, who she defined as her “marrow twin”.
Fabiana Justus was diagnosed with myeloid leukemia in January this year. She soon began cancer treatment with chemotherapy sessions. In this initial phase, she spent a month hospitalized at the Albert Einstein Hospital, in São Paulo.

On her official Instagram profile, Fabiana Justus, who has more than 4.1 million followers on the digital platform, revealed that she does not know the identity of the marrow donor, but that she would still like to send him an open letter, thanking him for the good deed . In a statement, she said that this person gave her a second chance at life.
“Dear donor. We still cannot know each other or know who we are, but I already respect you so much! You donated your marrow without knowing to whom. Without asking for anything in return. If only everyone in the world was like “You just knew that I am an adult and I needed it urgently. And you didn’t hesitate. You went there, did the necessary tests and donated”Fabiana Justus began.
