The Afternoon Tea Awards invite independent judges to evaluate all aspects of the afternoon tea experience from establishments around the world. UKfrom booking to menu, with a focus on presentation and service.




The team then selects the winners in three categories – Best Traditional Afternoon Tea, Best Contemporary Afternoon Tea and Best Themed Afternoon Tea – as well as listing a further 19 venues that stood out.

In the 2024 edition, almost all the candidates are in London, England. Meet the winners:

Best Traditional Afternoon Tea: The Beaumont Hotel, London (England)

Located in the Mayfair neighborhood, the Beaumont Hotel embodies the spirit of the grand London and New York hotels of the 1920s. afternoon tea It is served in the best English tradition, but with an American touch. There is a selection of sandwiches, scones and pastries, accompanied by a wide selection of JING brand teas. Afternoon tea is served daily in Gatsby’s Room between 12.30pm and 5.30pm and costs £70 per person. Book here.

Best Contemporary Afternoon Tea: COMO The Halking, London (England)

The Georgian-style facade in Belgravia near Hyde Park is home to the 41 contemporary rooms at COMO The Halking. His reinterpretation of English afternoon tea incorporates elements of Balinese cuisine and seeks to maintain the integrity of the ingredients, many of which are served raw and straight from the countryside. Among the dishes, the crunchy prawns with orange blossom puree stand out. The accompanying teas are from the JING brand. Afternoon tea is available daily from 2pm to 6pm and costs £55 per person. Best Themed Afternoon Tea: The Waldorf Hilton, London (England)

Built in the 1800s, the Waldorf Hilton is an iconic hotel in Convent Garden – the Royal Opera House is just a four-minute walk away. There, in a room adorned with crystal chandeliers, the Be our guest, an afternoon tea inspired by The beauty and the Beast. Among the desserts there is a chocolate and hazelnut cake with the Horloge character printed on it. As well as teas, champagne and a cocktail inspired by the enchanted rose. Afternoon tea is served daily from 2.30pm to 3.30pm and costs £59 per person. Book here.
