Better known as Horto Florestal, Alberto Löfgren State Park, in the North Zone of Sao Paulo, has free entry and is open every day from 5:30 am to 6:00 pm

This weekend, April 27-28, the park will host programming for all visitor profiles, such as yoga and capoeira classes, in addition to the Horto’s permanent activities, such as a museum and a guided tour on electric trolleys.

Family park

This children’s zone is a space with inflatable games and various leisure options for the little ones, such as sledding, trampoline and float carousel, among other attractions.

The space is open every day, from 10am to 5pm, and tickets can be purchased at the venue’s sales point (R$10 to R$80).

Yoga class

The activity will take place at 9.30am, Saturday (27/4), in Tenda, and Sunday (28/4), next to Parque Família.

The lessons are free and involve teaching techniques to strengthen the body and mind in an interconnected way, as well as breathing, posture and meditation exercises. It is advisable to wear light clothing that allows the mobility of the body, as well as a mat suitable for practicing the sport.

Capoeira

The class will be held at the Horto Florestal tent, Sunday (28/4), at 8:00.

No prior registration is required to participate in the activity.

Dance class

This Saturday (27/4), at 10:30, and Sunday (28/4), at 10:00, the activity will take place in the Horto Florestal tent.

The lesson is free to attend and advance booking is not required.

Functional training

This physical exercise for the functional capacity of the body takes place in an open space of the park, in contact with nature, next Saturday (April 27), on the sand field of the Horto, from 9:00 to 10:00.

Those who wish to improve their physical condition, increase their flexibility and train their concentration can take part in jiu-jitsu, judo and karate lessons in the Tatame Room of the park’s Ecocultural Centre.

The program includes karate (Saturday) and judo (Sunday), always at 8.00.

Air combat class

Professor Rogério Lessa will hold the course, which mixes martial arts movements with aerobic exercises, in the Tenda do Horto Florestal, on Saturday 27th, from 8.30 to 9.30.

The modality is a choreographed sequence of movements and improves cardiovascular and neuromuscular endurance, improves agility and motor coordination, as well as relieving stress and providing high calorie expenditure.

Urbiatour

Curiosities and historical details of the Horto Florestal are told in this one-hour tour, in an electric trolley driven by environmental educators in the main points of the park.

The activity (R$ 25 per person) takes place every hour, from 9:00 to 17:00, and there are no breaks or descents.

The park also has individual bicycles, children’s tricycles, bicycles with child seats (up to 25kg per seat) and family bicycles, which can be rented (from R$20), next to the Horto Florestal Visitor Center, from 8am: 00 to 5:30 pm

Ottávio Vecchi Forestry Museum

The Octávio Vecchi Forestry Museum was inaugurated in 1931 and brings together a collection of wood of the most diverse types (carved wood, seeds, woodcuts and watercolours), a large oil panel illustrating the history of São Paulo, written by Helios Seelinger, between the other works on display.

It is open Wednesday to Sunday, 9am to 5pm, and tickets cost R$15 (full price), with free admission on Fridays.
