The location is in the United States and only accepts men over 35 and women over 30
Summary
The new Caribbean restaurant Bliss in Florissant, Missouri, bans men under 35 and women under 30, and serves an authentic Jamaican menu with the goal of creating a mature, sophisticated atmosphere.
A new Caribbean restaurant in Florissant, Missouri, US, opened in May in a controversial decision. Bliss prohibits men under 35 and women under 30 from dining on site after 7 p.m.
According to the venue’s owners, the policy aims to create a mature and luxurious atmosphere, free from the “drama” often associated with younger customers. “We set out to create a full-fledged restaurant where adults could vacation for a fraction of the cost,” owner Marvin Pate told the New York Times.
On weekends, the restaurant stays open until 1:30 a.m., and after dinner, the space transforms into a dance floor with drinks and beverages sold to customers.
“They enjoy the food and the music and they love the age restrictions… they love the high-end experience,” said Tina Pate
Chef Alex Dixon is responsible for preparing the restaurant’s authentic Jamaican menu, which aims to offer guests a vacation experience.
Marvin Pate explained that the decision to limit the age is to ensure the establishment is a sophisticated destination in the city.
“You can come here and really feel like you’re at a resort. People will feel like they’re on vacation,” he said in an interview with KSDK.
The most expensive restaurant in the world, with dishes costing up to R$12,000!
