Ingredients:
- 2 cups soaked lentils
- 3 cups (tea) of water
- 1/2 cup (tea) olive oil
- 2 large onions cut into rings
- 3 cups parboiled rice
- Salt to taste
Preparation method:
- In a pan, over high heat, cook the lentils in water until they are slightly soft.
- Drain and reserve.
- Heat another pan over high heat, add the oil, add the onion and sauté until golden brown.
- Remove the onion with a slotted spoon and set aside.
- Place the lentils and rice in the pan with the oil, season with salt, cover with water and leave to cook for 25 minutes, or until the rice is tender.
- Remove from the heat, transfer to a serving plate, distribute the reserved onion on top and serve.
