Beyond the classic lemon, discover the best extravagant and delicious caipirinhas in SP

The caipirinha is a national symbol and there is no question about this. Yes, there’s also a lot of room to debate whether or not these drinks can be called “caipirinhas.” But if you are the type who dares to try lemon alternatives and like to try very different options, this itinerary is the best choice.

We asked Cleber Coutinho, bar chef at Veridiana Pizzaria, and Marcelo Serrano, manager of the Telephone Speakeasy menu and creator of Espuma De Gingibre at Moscow Mule, what their favorite caipirinhas are in Sao Paulo and, below, you can find their three advice .

Bamboo Restaurant

Recommended by Cleber Coutinho, Bambu, a restaurant specializing in international cuisine, serves the Caipirinha Caipmel (R$39) – made with pink jequitibá cachaça, cashews, lemon, honey, rapadura syrup and ginger foam. The chef says that this very Brazilian cocktail delights him: “it brings me a flavor of the Northeast, it brings me fond memories of my grandmother, who made cough syrup with lemon, rapadura, honey and cashews”.

The restaurant also serves other caipirinha options starting from R$32.
