With corn, peanuts and sugar the sweets gain a special accent
Not everyone likes going to a trade show. Sometimes even those who enjoy themselves are too lazy to look for the nearest June festival. The problem, or the solution, is that the appetizing desserts of this theme can be ordered from the sofa at home and cost, on average, R$ 20 per portion. If resisting is impossible, at least the choices are worth it.
A thousand sheets
Luckily, this sweet delight isn’t just for June: it’s on display until July 31st. The unique recipe by Calu Molena (chef of Mil Confeitaria) and Rodrigo Oliveira (chef of Mocotó) consists of crunchy puff pastry, lightly salted organic popcorn cream, hominy farofa and caramelized popcorn. Slices cost R$18 and the family version (with a maximum of 16 servings) costs R$280.

Ice-cream
Without betraying its Italian roots, Tre Bimbi offers five flavors of June ice cream until the end of the month: peanuts, corn, rice pudding, pumpkin with coconut and tamale. The highlight is the last one, thanks to the fact that the corn grains pass through a mill until they become a paste which, without losing any nutritional properties, guarantees an extremely velvety sensation in the mouth. The small version, with just one flavour, costs R$16.50 and the large version, with up to three, costs R$27. The 700ml travel pack costs R$77.
