July Holidays: 5 Amusement Parks to Visit in Brazil

The attractions available in all regions of the country cater to those who want to have fun or relax on holiday.

Brazil has some of the best amusement parks in the world spread across its territory. Those looking for a different program for their next vacation period have several options to choose from to suit different tastes and ages. We have selected 5 parks that can help you choose the destination of your next trip.

Beto Carrero World

Located in Penha, Santa Catarina, Beto Carrero World is considered the largest theme park in Latin America and one of the most famous in Brazil. The park, which has been in operation for at least 30 years, maintains some of its classic attractions and continues to invest in new toys. Those who have already visited Beto Carrero and want to pass on the experience to the little ones, can still attend the Excalibur presentations and take a ride on the Pirate Schooner, without forgetting to take a ride on the Rebuliço, one of the main novelties of the park in the Cowboyland themed area.

A nice initiative is the Kelly Passport, which provides a free day at the park for people with intellectual and multiple disabilities, autism, Down syndrome and syndromes with cognitive and motor deficit. The courtesy request must be made at least 1 week before the visit and requires the presentation of some documents. The park is open from 10:00 to 20:00 and passports start at R$ 139.90. More information on tickets and prices can be found on the website.

Hopi Hari

One of Brazil’s most popular theme parks, Hopi Hari is located in Vinhedo, in the outskirts of São Paulo. The park offers children’s, family and extreme attractions in themed settings ranging from ancient Egypt to the Old West. In addition to extreme rides, such as the largest wooden roller coaster in Latin America, there are other attractions for all tastes, including a haunted hotel.

Daily tickets start at R$129.90 and visitors can also choose to purchase passports valid for up to 1 year. Those with permanent or temporary disabilities (such as an arm in a cast) should stop by Visitor Services to receive a personalized map of the park with guidelines and restrictions based on their condition. People with permanent disabilities are entitled to a 50% discount on the ticket for a companion. Information on prices and conditions can be obtained by emailing fale@hopiharicorp.com.br or on the park’s website.
