Influenza type A, B or C: “Transmission occurs mainly through respiratory particles, but it must be remembered that the virus remains on contaminated surfaces for a period of up to 8 hours. Transmissibility occurs in the first days of the onset of symptoms; however, children may remain with some symptoms for weeks,” the doctor said.
