Sustainable Bathroom Gets Closer to Nature with Rustic Ceramic Floors


With a greige palette, the environment of Bruno Dutkievicz and Raphael Meza alludes to the streams of the state of Paraná.

The soft light filtering through the trees and the serene streams are some of the references for this bathroom at CASACOR Paraná 2024. Called “Banheiro Regato”, Bruno Dutkiewicz AND Raffaele Meza introduce the concept of the “garden bathroom” – a space that encourages the care of the inner nature and the feeling of relaxation.




“The guest bathroom concept is inspired by the desire to make visitors feel special and appreciated, a common practice in Brazilian culture where hospitality It is seen as a reflection of affection and consideration for others,” say professionals.

The idea also arises from the urgency of adopting conscious and ecological practiceswith the aim of protecting future generations. The project uses technologies of water and energy savings, sustainable materials and construction techniques that minimize environmental impact.

LED Strips distributed throughout the bathroom, automated to create different scenes, they create indirect and diffused lighting.

Natural materials such as wood, stone and ceramic were applied to bring the feeling of an outdoor space inside. On the walls, oak blades; in the marble factory, they opted for limestone; and on the floor, rustic ceramicswhich brings visitors closer to the sensation of walking on the ground.

Color ” grey“, a mixture of gray and beige, adds elegance and serves as a basis for the authentic composition. The ceiling painting simulates lime, an ancient technique that has recently gained importance again. Finally, the design of the “Banheiro Regato” gives priority to organic elements that guide the visitor’s gaze into the space.
