Ingredients Creamy hot chocolate without milk and sugar

– 500 ml gluten-free oat milk (or homemade gluten-free oat milk – see recipe)

– 4 tablespoons cocoa powder + a little for decoration, if you like ABC

– 4 tablespoons xylitol + a little more if desired

– 2 teaspoons of cornstarch, diluted in part in oat milk (see tip)

– 1 teaspoon vanilla essence (optional)

– salt to taste (pinch) (optional)

PREPARATION:

  1. Separate all the utensils and ingredients of the recipe.
  2. Prepare the oat milk gluten free in advance, following the necessary steps, so that it is ready to be used in the recipe.
  3. In a bowl, mix the cornstarch with a little oat milk until completely dissolved, avoiding the formation of lumps.
  4. For an even creamier hot chocolate, increase the amount of cornstarch up to 2 times. It will have the consistency in the photo, really creamy.

PREPARATION:

Hot chocolate without milk and sugar:

  1. In a pan, mix the cocoa powder, xylitol and a pinch of salt (optional).
  2. Gradually add the remaining oat milk, mixing well until a smooth mixture forms.
  3. Place the pan over medium heat, stirring constantly with the wire whisk.
  4. Once the mixture begins to heat, add the cornstarch mixture, reduce the heat to low, and continue stirring until the hot chocolate has thickened to a creamy consistency (about 5-7 minutes).
  5. If desired, add vanilla essence at the end of preparation.

FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:

  1. Serve the hot chocolate without milk and sugarr in cups.
  2. Decorate with a pinch of cocoa powder (optional).
  3. Serve warm and enjoy the creamy texture of this healthy version of the drink.
