ADHD and Spirituality: Exploring Higher Personal and Spiritual Capabilities

But, after all, what is the connection between ADHD and spirituality? I’ll explain it to you in a scientific way, since I have a degree in psychology and I’m specializing in psychoanalysis

I am 43 years old and have lived in the world of the moon since I was a child. This sentence was said by my mother about six months ago, when I finally decided to receive the definitive diagnosis of my ADHD. School has always been very difficult for me; I was very easily demotivated, except for theater, dance, creations, presentations of works and essays. Also, studying was terribly tiring.

Aside from my studies, I loved everything that had challenges, games, races, in short I loved road challenges and I often did this bike ride with the kids. Adolescence arrived, along with it the increasingly latent mediumship, and it was a great mix.

Imagine having ADHD, having high abilities, and programming a simple diary or creating an Excel spreadsheet was torture. I started my relationship at the age of 23, in psychology school, and for a long time I procrastinated (because that word is stale to me) in search of a relationship that would conclude what I already knew. I confess that I went to three psychiatrists, two neurologists, and a neuropsychologist, all to confirm what I already knew. But I didn’t stop there; I did the most modern brain scans, I did a CT scan, SPECT of the head, scintigraphy and brain mapping. In any case, the research was long and expensive.

All to know that my brain is perfect, thanks to God and spirituality, and the only thing it doesn’t have, or almost doesn’t have, is dopamine.

I confess that I had already forgotten an entity in a room of the temple and, when I went to remember, three hours had already passed. These days I was almost kidnapped by an electronic gate; Yes, I was walking down the street on my cell phone and I didn’t notice that the gate was closing.

Anyway, I am eternally grateful to God and spirituality that I have never had any of the negative behavioral and social traits of ADHD. What it does do in my life is stimulate me beyond normal to create, as I have the famous above average IQ in some areas, so my only concern is overwork.

But, after all, what is the connection between ADHD and spirituality? I will explain it to you in a scientific way, since I have a degree in psychology and I am specializing in psychoanalysis.

THE Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is often perceived only through the lens of the challenges it poses in everyday life. However, it is important to look at this disorder from a different perspective, considering how it can be associated with high spiritual abilities. As a spiritualist, it is essential to recognize and value these abilities, using them as powerful tools for personal growth and connection with the spiritual world.

Increased sensitivity | I’ve had it since I was little and it’s common for ADHD sufferers to have it too.

People with ADHD often demonstrate increased sensitivity to their surroundings. This sensitivity can manifest not only in response to physical stimuli, but also in an increased awareness of subtle energies and spiritual fields. This ability allows for a deeper connection to the spiritual world, facilitating experiences such as mediumship, intuition, and spiritual empathy.

Intuition and intuitive perception | This could be a powerful factor in my clairvoyant ability, one of my psychic abilities.

Intuition is a spiritual ability that can be particularly strong in people with ADHD. This intuitive perception can come from the ability to capture information beyond logic and analytical reasoning. People with ADHD often rely on their intuition to make quick and accurate decisions, which can be a form of direct connection to universal wisdom and spiritual guides.

Creativity and Divergent Thinking | Our vision as a medium must go beyond appearances.

The mind of someone with ADHD often functions in a non-linear fashion, jumping from one idea to another. This style of thinking can be a significant advantage in spiritual contexts, where creativity and the ability to see beyond the conventional are essential. This creative approach allows for the visualization of innovative spiritual solutions and the ability to connect with different dimensions of consciousness.

Spiritual Energy and Enthusiasm | On a spiritual and mediumistic level we never really know what will happen. We are there to have devices to connect with the spiritual and mystical plane. We know we are in control of the situation, but the novelty of who is coming, of what they will do, creates a sense of daily or weekly novelty..

Hyperactivity, often associated with ADHD, can be seen as an abundance of life energy. If channeled correctly, this energy can be directed towards spiritual practices such as active meditation, spiritual dance, or any form of creative expression that involves movement. This energy can also facilitate the performance of rituals and spiritual practices that require a high level of commitment and intensity.

Ability to engage deeply | Hyperfocusing on spirituality helps with connection and clairvoyance issues.

Although attention may seem scattered, many individuals with ADHD have the ability to focus intensely on activities that truly capture their interest. This phenomenon, known as “hyperfocus,” can be extremely beneficial in spiritual practices, allowing for deep immersion in meditations, spiritual studies, and spiritual communication.

Resilience and spiritual growth| A person with ADHD who freely develops his spirituality is easily subject to Poliana syndrome, nothing shakes him, because faith is immense.

Facing the challenges of ADHD often develops great resilience and inner strength. This strength can form a solid foundation for spiritual growth, allowing the individual to face obstacles with a positive and persevering attitude. The resilience developed can be transformed into spiritual power, facilitating the overcoming of blocks and continued spiritual evolution.

As a spiritualist, psychologist, and one with extensive studies of the human mind and also ADHD, it is crucial to recognize that ADHD can be a manifestation of unique spiritual gifts. Instead of focusing only on the challenges, we need to cultivate and nurture these heightened spiritual abilities, helping people with ADHD connect deeply with their spiritual essence. In doing so, we not only empower individuals with ADHD, but also enrich spiritual practice as a whole by recognizing the diversity of gifts that each soul brings to the world.
