The bacteria identified by the company as the reason for the recall can cause gastrointestinal infections
Lots of sweets from Dori Alimentos are withdrawn from the market due to the potential risk of contamination with Salmonella Munich. Ingestion of the bacteria can cause gastrointestinal infection, with symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, fever and vomiting.
The recall appears in a notice on the company’s website and has been published in the Official Journal of the Union. According to the DOU report, the collection is voluntary and the possibility of contamination has been informed National Agency for Health Surveillance (Anvisa) from Dori herself.

According to the company, the products were manufactured at the Rolândia (PR) plant between June 21 and July 10 and were distributed nationwide.
“Retail outlets and businesses have been instructed to immediately stop selling these products, and the decontamination, cleaning and sanitization process of the affected manufacturing facility has already been completed,” Dori said.
For consumers who have already purchased products from the above batches, the advice is not to consume the sweets and to contact customer service (SAC) by telephone 0800 707 4077 or by email sac@dori.com.br, to clarify doubts about the collection and refund process.
