The project will be inspired by the recent panic attacks experienced by the artist
Marcelo Serrado is preparing a documentary on mental health after having panic attacks. The project is a partnership with production company Fábrica and will be available on the Aquarius streaming platform, which focuses on health and wellness content. Registrations are scheduled for January 2025.
In June this year, Serrado said he experienced a turbulent episode in the United States, hours before boarding a plane to Brazil. The artist, who had already experienced similar situations, sought medical help to seek treatment. The actor is expected to use the experience as inspiration for his new project.
The crisis is one of the symptoms of panic syndrome and is characterized by feelings of fear and discomfort. In Serrado’s case, the condition may have been motivated by a fear of flying or heights. Its treatment requires the use of medications and recurrent consultations with a psychologist and a psychiatrist.
In addition to the documentary, Serrado can also be seen in the soap opera “Beleza Fatal”, which will be available in Max’s streaming catalog in 2025. He plays a beautician doctor, known as “Doctor Peitão”.
