Hake in curry sauce

Time: 50 minutes (+ 30 minutes soaking)

Performance: 5 servings

Difficulty: easy

Ingredients:

  • 1kg of hake fillet
  • Salt and chopped garlic to taste
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 cup (tea) wheat flour
  • 2 cups (tea) breadcrumbs
  • Frying oil
  • Parsley and pink pepper to decorate

Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup milk (tea).
  • 1 pack of cream
  • Salt to taste

Preparation method:

  1. Season the fish with salt, garlic and lemon and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Dip the fillets in wheat flour, beaten eggs and finally in breadcrumbs.
  3. Fry, little by little, in boiling oil until golden brown.
  4. Drain on absorbent paper and set aside.
  5. For the sauce, melt the butter in a pan over medium heat and add the onion and curry powder.
  6. Fry until the onion softens.
  7. Dissolve the wheat flour in the milk and pour it into the pan, stirring constantly until it thickens a little.
  8. Lower the heat, add the cream and salt and mix until a cream forms.
  9. Turn off and serve with the fillets, garnished with parsley and pink pepper.
