In May this year, the famous artist Debbie Harry made a memorable appearance at Gucci’s Cruise 2025 show, creating a true time travel experience on the runway. Recognized as the iconic voice of the punk-rock band Blondie, Debbie was presented by the famous Italian fashion house in the 1970s with a bag that not only bears the name of her band, but also reflects her artistic path.
This event symbolized a renewal of the historical link between fashion and music, perpetuated by Debbie and Gucci, under the new creative direction of Saturday De Sarno.
The collection presented a boho and libertarian scenario, recovering Gucci’s emblematic intertwined G monogram, patented in 1971.
In this new interpretation, the bag that is part of the 1950s-inspired Gucci B resort collection is decorated with leather or enamel monograms, using sophisticated finishing techniques from the brand’s 1970s jewelry, according to Glamour.
Modernized design
The original suede design has been modernized with Tuscan leather available in classic tones such as black, red and brown. Alternatively, there are two-tone canvas versions, including prints with the brand logo.
The practicality of the maxi format, combined with the convenience of hand bags and the charm of chain shoulder straps, innovate traditional proposals, maintaining the brand’s promise of updating historical pieces. From October onwards, this new creation will be available in Brazilian physical stores, delighting fashion enthusiasts who appreciate timeless style.
