Ice cream with panettone

Time: 25min (+6h freezer)

Performance: 8 servings

Difficulty: easy

Ingredients:

  • 1 liter of fresh cream
  • 2 cans of condensed milk
  • 3 tablespoons of rum
  • 2 cups chopped panettone
  • 1/2 cup cherries (cut in half)
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Syrup

  • 2 cups sugar (tea)
  • 1/2 cup (tea) water
  • 1 tablespoon cold butter
  • 5 tablespoons of fresh cream

Preparation method:

  1. Using a mixer, beat the cream until thick.
  2. Before turning it into whipped cream, add the condensed milk and beat some more.
  3. Turn off the mixer and add the rum.
  4. Pour into a bowl and place in the freezer for 1 hour.
  5. In a non-stick pan, over medium heat, quickly toast the panettone.
  6. Remove the ice cream and mix in the cold panettone, cherry and walnuts.
  7. Place in a large mold with a hole in the center and place in the freezer for another 5 hours.
  8. For the syrup, in a saucepan, heat the sugar mixed with water over medium heat until caramelized.
  9. Mix the butter and cream.
  10. Wait for it to come to the boil again, stirring with a hand whisk.
  11. Unmold the ice cream by running hot water over the bottom of the mold and placing it on a serving plate.
  12. Cover with caramel and serve immediately.
