A much appreciated Italian cake, quick and easy to prepare and with few ingredients, with thinly layered apples, giving a millefeuille effect

Apple millefeuille cake ingredients:

– 2 Gala apples cut into thin slices (or others of your choice)

– 1/2 unit of lemon (juice)

– 70 g of sugar

– 30g unsalted butter, melted + a little for greasing

– 100 ml of milk

– 70 g of wheat flour

– 1/2 tablespoon(s) of chemical yeast

Ingredients TO COMPLETE:

– icing sugar to taste, sifted onto the cake (or sugar)

PREPARATION:

  1. For a portion for 2 people, use a mould, preferably with a removable bottom, 18 cm in diameter – take care that it does not come out – otherwise cover it with aluminum foil or use a common mold (not the common mould). it is possible to unmold).
  2. Grease the pan with butter.
  3. Separate the ingredients and utensils for the recipe.
  4. Place the butter in a non-metallic bowl and place in the microwave until melted.
  5. Preheat the oven to 180ºC.

PREPARATION:

Apple – Preparation:

  1. Wash and dry the apples, peel them if you prefer. Cut it in half, remove the seeds.
  2. Slice the apples very thin – about 1.5 mm – preferably with a mandolin (optional) to ensure uniform thickness.
  3. Place the slices in a bowl, squeeze the lemon (see quantity in the ingredients) directly on top and mix: in addition to preventing the apple from oxidising, the lemon also introduces a slightly acidic flavour.

  1. Open the eggs in a bowl, add the sugar and beat with a whisk until the mixture becomes frothy.
  2. Add the melted butter and milk and continue whisking to combine.
  3. Sift the flour little by little into the dough, incorporating it with each addition.

  5. Add the apple slices to this mixture and mix well so that all the slices are evenly coated.
  6. Transfer to the greased pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC.

FINALIZATION AND ASSEMBLY:

  1. Place the mold with removable bottom over a glass, open the edge and remove the mold. Apple millefeuille cake.
  2. Using a small sieve, spread the sugar or icing sugar over the cake.
  3. Serve the cake as a dessert or as a snack accompanied by a good cup of coffee.
