Do you remember what you were doing when you were 12? the ceara Caio Temponifor example, he can be proud of having passed the test at the Air Cadet Preparatory School of Barbacena (MG), of the Italian Air Force.

The teenager’s mother, housewife Laurismara Temponi, guarantees that he was the youngest in history to carry out such a feat, but the Brazilian Air Force does not confirm the information. Caio, on the other hand, accumulated impressive results: best placement in the admission exam for Administration, at the State University of Ceará (UECE); for Law, at the Rural Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ); and for Civil Engineering, at the Federal University of Cariri (UFCA).

Caio also reached the 22nd place in the entrance exam for Medicine at the University of Fortaleza (Unifor). By now 14 years old, the student, who dreams of being a doctor or a judge, enrolls in the 2nd year of high school and follows the 3rd classes in a school in Fortaleza (CE), since he skipped at least three classes while he was in Fundamental.

Caio’s family is still thinking about the future. According to the report of the LandLaurismara Temponi intends to convince Caio to finish high school by the end of the year, so that he can start university in 2023.

Despite the plans, much progress for a boy who has just reached adolescence worries his parents. They ensure that Caio’s entire learning and development process is accompanied by neuropsychologists and other specialists.

“We are afraid, because they are totally different environments [escola e faculdade]. We will wait for the right moment, that he wants to go, but we will also do an evaluation to see if he has the maturity. Let’s put it on the scale if the time is right “, guarantees the mother.

Advanced since childhood

So much talent for studies in the most diverse fields of knowledge did not suddenly emerge. Laurismara says he noticed that his son learned easily and quickly even in childhood, when, at the age of three, the boy would have memorized all the times tables in a single day. “He took us by surprise,” remembers her mother.

It is no coincidence that Caio is gold medal at the Mayo Level 1 Olympics (up to 13 years old), an annual math competition between elementary and high school students, as well as at the Online Mathematics Olympics in Portuguese, a competition that brings together language students Portuguese and Spanish. Once again, he has passed the test.

The impact of Gaius’ advancement in relation to children of the same age was felt most intensely in the first year of kindergarten.

“I remember going to pick him up on the last day of school that year and the students in their scribbled T-shirts, with their signatures. I commented to another mother that he was cute, but she said, ‘Stay kidding? it was Gaius who wrote all the t-shirts. The kids are still learning letters, ‘”he says.

“When we realized he was more advanced than the class, we started helping him, with books and other more advanced content,” explains the mother.

According to her, studying at home allowed Gaius to skip the first, third and eighth grade of elementary school, since he already knew the contents taught in class in those classes.

study routine

The routine to achieve these results is intense. The teenager Caio Temponi wakes up at 7 in the morning and starts studying. In the afternoon, when he has lessons, he stays at school until the evening.

If he does not have a school, Caio reserves the time to review the contents he has already learned with simulations and video lessons. He usually sleeps around 10pm, so he can wake up early the next day and continue studying.

He likes to learn more about math and physics, but makes sure there is no content he doesn’t like.

“I always want to learn new things, I really enjoy studying,” he says. “I want to be a doctor or a judge for financial stability, but also help people in some way.”

Despite his serious commitment to his studies, the teenager says he doesn’t stop enjoying what other kids his age also like. In his spare time, he watches PokĂ©mon and plays soccer and ping-pong with friends.

Caio also runs a YouTube channel, Takes over with Caio Temponiwhere it offers free math lessons to more than 20,000 subscribers.
