‘Vale Tudo’: Remake Brings Villain Odete Roitman’s Iconic Look to Actress Debora Bloch

The long-awaited remake of “Vale Tudo”, written by Manuela Dias and with the artistic direction of Paolo Silvestrinipromises to surprise audiences with updates to the narrative and surprising visuals for the characters. While the premiere is scheduled for March 2025, and the cast has already started recording in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná.




Among the new features stands out the villain Odete Roitman, played by Deborah Bloch. The character’s look could be inspired by the British actress’ bold cuts Tilda Swinton. Furthermore, renowned designers are developing exclusive costumes for the interpreter of the iconic antagonist created by Gilberto Braga. Unlike the original version, where Odete appears in chapter 28, he will appear in chapter 24, gaining even greater prominence in the plot.

Plot and stellar cast

Initially, the plot returns to the central story of Raquel, Taís Araújo, a determined woman who faces challenges after being betrayed by her ex-husband Ivan, Renato Goes. Ivan, in turn, lives a troubled love story with Leila, Carolina Dieckmann. Maria de Fátima, Raquel’s ambitious daughter, will be played by Beautiful Camposwhich pursues social promotion through strategic relationships, including César, Caua Reymondand Alfonso, Humberto Carraoson of Odete.

Other notable names include:

  • Paola Oliveira as Helena Roitman, another daughter of Odete;
  • Alexander Nero as Marcus Aurélius, a villain associated with Odete;
  • Luis Lobianco in the role of Freitas, assistant to Marcus Aurélio;
  • Malù Galli as Celina, Helena’s aunt;
  • Alice Wegmann like Solange, involved with Afonso;
  • Maeve Jinkings as sister of Marcus Aurelius;
  • João Vicente de Castro as the villain’s cousin.

Finally, with an updated script, sophisticated costumes and surprising performances, Everything is fine seeks to conquer a new generation of spectators by paying homage to the masterpiece of Gilberto Braga.
