In an interview with Contigo!, sociologist and digital influencer Gabb also reveals the tackiest items he loves most in the world of fashion
The sociologist and digital influencer Gabriel MoraesTHE Gabbas he is known in the virtual world, had a relaxed chat with With you! during the TikTok Awards 2024which this year chose the best content creators on the platform. The awards ceremony was held on December 18, in Sao Paulo, with the presentation of Angelica AND Fabão. On the occasion, Gabb spoke about the importance of having ample space to talk about fashion, and also spoke about the tackier items she loves most in the fashion world.
The influencer declared his passion for fashion, but issued an important warning: “I think fashion is a very big market, and it is the most polluting industry in the world”. Then he continued by reinforcing all his gratitude: “I think (fashion) has a social part, it has a part that everyone uses, I think it’s a very big intersection of content, of topics; and I wanted to be part of that. So, I was very happy to be able to talk about fashion and have a space just for that, which is what I would like to see, so for me fashion is a priesthood.”
When asked what the tackiest item in fashion was, Gabb didn’t think twice. “Wow, I hate saruel pants, I don’t like sneakers and I don’t even like those who get ready with underwear, swinging. I think they are very ugly, there is no need for it, people. Fashion is not This “, says the influencer, adding the piece he loves. “These kiki boots I’m wearing. I think they’re my favorite fashion item, you know? Besides being the kiki over, they’re my kikiki shoes”amendment.
Gabb started creating content on the Internet at least 10 years ago. The turning point, however, came in October 2023, when he made the decision to move his production to the fashion segment.
Inspired by the American presenter Joan Riversthe influencer uses many television references when commenting on social media, such as references to soap operas, presenters and old programs. “I am a sociologist. And we know that those who talk about everything don’t talk about anything. It was then that I decided that I had to work with what my heart told me, namely fashion”he recalled in an interview with Estadão.
In one of these videos, made on presenter Angélica’s birthday party, Gabb’s content reached the ears of her husband, also a presenter Luciano Huckwho invited him to participate in the program Huck Sundayfrom TV Globo, commenting on the looks. “I started creating content on TikTok in preparation for my fashion show (Ambulatório da Moda). But the turning point in my career came with Huck,” highlights the influencer.
