The popular fashion event tries to recover from declining sales
The city of Florence, in Tuscany, opened this Tuesday (14th) the 107th edition of Pitti Uomo, one of the most traditional Italian fashion events.
Pitti Uomo 2025 stands out for the presence of 770 different brands, as well as the participation of two international guests: the Japanese Satoshi Kuwata, with the Setchu brand, and the MM6 boutique, created by the Belgian designer Martin Margiela.
According to the organizers of the main Italian men’s fashion fair, scheduled until January 17, almost half of the brands that will present their collections are foreign.
With a schedule full of fashion shows and events to present the autumn-winter 2025/26 men’s clothing collections, the brands’ objective is to try to once again increase sales in the sector, which according to estimates recorded a drop of 3.6% in 2024.
“Fashion is going through a complex transition phase.
We have decided to pay particular attention to the culture of running”, commented Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Immagine.
The Fortezza da Basso, an imposing Florentine fortress, will present collections divided into five sections, from classic styles that celebrate the timeless and refined excellence of tailoring to avant-garde fashion.
At Pitti Uomo the public will also be able to see contemporary Chinese, Scandinavian, French and Japanese fashion, which highlighted various leather items. .
